Short History	Simon began his consulting career in 2001. Until then he had worked with ASDA after joining their graduate training scheme in 1996. During his time at ASDA his experience included project managing the opening of a new distribution centre and managing the warehouse at one of their Regional Distribution Centres. He spent 3 years at a niche consultancy before joining a big 4 consulting firm in 2004.
Why Consult Seven	As Director of Consult Seven, Simon joined to drive consultancy in “the right way”. During his time with other consultancies he observed processes and practices which he felt were substandard. These included, (but were not limited to) • The demands of high utilisation forcing under-qualified consultants take on roles that they are not able to fully carry out. • Clients' were not being given the opportunity to meet and interview the consulting team before it started. • Consulting assignments being used to educate consultants, rather than impart knowledge and skills to clients. Consult Seven has provided the opportunity to challenge the way the consultancy industry works – its time for a big shake up.
